Introduction

Hello and welcome to my blog!

Did you know that "blog" originates from the two words "web" and "log"? I believe the word "web" comes from the term "World Wide Web" and represents the mass collection of hypertext documents that can be accessed over the internet. The internet is different from the world wide web. Essentially, the internet is made up of a huge international computer network. All it means in a simplified way of explaining, is that computers are connected or linked together. Alternatively, the World Wide Web is made up of a collection of documents. The term log, does not refer to a tree that has been cut down. It means a record of events, or day to day activities: Blended together, we get the word, "Blog".

Well, I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. My following blog posts will let you know more about me. As for now, I have decided to become a software and/or web developer. I am going to share my experiences and include things I learn along the way.
